It all comes down to this.
Canterbury’s Farah Palmer Cup, presented by Hilux, campaign reaches the business end this Sunday, with the unbeaten Red & Black taking on the Manawatū Cyclones in a huge semi-final at Rugby Park.
Kick-off is at 2:05pm, with Canterbury looking to continue its perfect 2026 campaign and book a place hosting the Farah Palmer Cup Premiership Final.
And with a place in the final on the line, there is no better time to Pack the Park.
Sunday’s clash is another chapter in an incredible run for Canterbury Women, with the team featuring in its 10th consecutive FPC semi-final.
That consistency is a reflection of the strength of the Canterbury pathway and the players, coaches, volunteers and supporters who continue to drive women’s rugby in the province.
Now, the playing group has the chance to turn another semi-final appearance into another shot at silverware.
Head Coach Solomona Paraki has been impressed by the way his squad has come together throughout the season, with the group continuing to grow both on and off the field.
“I’m really proud of this group and the way they’ve gone about their work this season. There’s a real belief within the team, but also a willingness to keep learning and improving every week. We know a semi-final brings a different level of intensity, and we’re excited to see what this group can produce when it matters most.”
Co-captain Tori Gapper says the focus inside the group is firmly on the job ahead.
“We’ve worked really hard to get ourselves into this position, but we know none of that matters come Sunday. It’s about the next 80 minutes and doing the things we know we can do well. We want to be physical, play with confidence and really enjoy the opportunity to play a semi-final at home.”
Rugby Park is the home of Canterbury FPC and there is something special about playing finals rugby there.
It has been home to Canterbury Women for generations, and on Sunday the team wants to fill the stands with Red & Black and create an atmosphere worthy of the occasion.
“We want to Pack the Park” says Gapper.
So get in behind our girls this Sunday, bring your whānau, bring your friends, bring your red and black and get behind the team as Canterbury takes on the Cyclones with a place in the final on the line.
And there’s plenty happening beyond the action on the field, making it a great afternoon out for the whole family.
Gates open at 1:00pm, with kids aged 17 and under getting in FREE and adult entry just $10 at the gate.
The kids can get stuck into the bouncy castle and flag making, while food and coffee will be available on site to keep everyone fuelled throughout the afternoon.
Then it’s time for the main event- 80 minutes of exciting, high-quality women’s rugby as Canterbury fights for a place in the FPC final.
