We're one step closer, and we need you there Canterbury!

Six games on the trot, and it’s all on the line this Sunday as our Red& Black men host the Taranaki Bulls in a Semi-Final Showdown! There’s nothing quite like afternoon footy, and with a 3:35pm kick-off, it’s the perfect opportunity to bring the whole whānau along and get behind your team.

After finishing top of the table at the end of the round robin,Canterbury have continued to build momentum, delivering a convincing performance in last week’s quarter-final against Waikato. Despite late changes to the selected side, with George Bell and Jamie Hannah called into the Bledisloe Cup squad on game day, following Chay Fihaki’s call-up earlier in the week, the boys rose to the occasion and got the job done.

Now, it’s time to take another step towards the title.

Standing in our way are the Black and Yellow Bulls, and there’s a score to settle. When the two sides last met in Round 5 in Palmerston North,Canterbury went down 40–26. This Sunday presents the perfect opportunity for redemption, but it’ll take a full 80-minute performance to get us across the line.

One more win will secure Canterbury a place in the NPC Final at home, giving our Red & Black men the chance to play for the title in front of their own fans at One NZ Stadium. That’s where you come in, Cantabrians! We need the stands packed, the red and black on show, and the noise turned all the way up. Your support can make all the difference, so let’s get behind the boys and give them every reason to bring it home!

And, as always, there’s plenty happening in stadia for our fans outside of the 80 minutes of footy, making it a day out for the whole family.
Off the back of their flashmob line dance, half-time will see Epic Entertainment light up the turf once more with another stadium first. Larry the Lamb takes centre stage kicking off karaoke with a "Larry the Lamb Jam" lead by Canterbury powerhouse Nyree Huyser, supported by dynamic performers encouraging audience participation to kiwi classic "Slice of Heaven".

The launch of Game Day exclusive Larry the Lamb plush toys and key rings were an absolute hit, and you’ll have another chance to win one this week through our claw machine! Our friends at JC Construction are also back with their popular Take a Kid to Footy packs, with the first 300 kids to visit their team on the NorthPad in with a chance to grab one. Add in face painting, sign making, bouncy castles and plenty more family-friendly fun around the stadium, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

We know getting the whole whānau along matters, especially during finals footy, so we’ve kept ticket prices the same throughout our finals series. With kids’ tickets just $5, adult tickets from $10 and family passes available for $45, there’s never been a better time to get the crew together and be part of it.

So, bring your mates, pull on your Red & Black and join us at One NZ Stadium this Sunday. The boys have done the hard work to ge there, and now they need Cantabrians behind them more than ever.

Red & Black whānau, let's rally!
