Bascik Transport has reaffirmed its commitment to community rugby in the region, re-signing as a Major Grassroots Partner of Canterbury Rugby.
The renewed partnership will see Bascik Transport continue as naming rights partner of the Metropolitan Premier, Premier Reserve, Premier Women, Premier Reserve Women and Colts competitions- a clear demonstration of their ongoing investment in the strength and sustainability of club rugby across Canterbury.
In addition to competition support, Bascik Transport will continue its involvement in key development initiatives, including the Canterbury Rugby U15 Development Camp, helping foster the next generation of players coming through the system.
Canterbury Rugby CEO Tony Smail said the partnership reflects a shared belief in the importance of the grassroots game.
“Bascik Transport are a fantastic example of a partner who truly understands the value of community rugby. Their support across our premier and development competitions plays a vital role in creating strong, connected clubs and clear pathways for players. They share our commitment to growing the game at all levels, and we’re incredibly proud to continue building on this partnership.”
Bascik Transport Managing Director Tony Bascik said the decision to re-sign was driven by the company’s deep connection to the region.
“We live and work in the same communities that rugby serves. Being a Major Grassroots Partner allows us to give back in a meaningful way and help ensure the next generation has the same opportunities to grow through sport. We are proud to partner with Canterbury Rugby. They are a dedicated team and share the same values that we live our lives by.”
As part of the ongoing partnership, Bascik Transport will also continue to feature in initiatives such as Bascik Moment That Delivered, celebrating standout performances and key moments throughout the season.
With the partnership renewed, Bascik Transport remains a key supporter of rugby in Canterbury- from club competitions through to player development- helping ensure the game continues to thrive across the region.
