Canterbury we're all in at Apollo!

This Sunday afternoon theres only one place to be. It's the final NPC round robin clash at Apollo Projects Stadium and tickets are just $2 in an effort to fill the stands in red and black, as Canterbury take on Taranaki! With plenty at stake on the field, and even more happening off it, every cheer, and every bit of provincial pride counts.

It's thanks to the incredible support of our mates at Misco as our match day sponsor, that we're able to put on an experience that's more than just footy. Their generosity ensures that cost isn’t a barrier, making this a day for the whole community to come together.

Expect an afternoon packed with entertainment including a live DJ set from Kiwi hip hop legend King Kapisi both pre-game and at half-time! But that's not all, a game day first, there will be a Silent Disco on the West Pad thats fun for all ages, and of course a Family Fun Zone with games, and food trucks! Bring the whānau and lets see the school holidays out on a high with an afternoon to remember.

This week’s match is about more than just points on the table. Canterbury will be running out in a special commemorative jersey, a replica of the iconic 2012 strip. Partnerships and Engagement General Manager Matt Quinn talked to the significance of the project, " We've been working closely with our apparel partner Dynasty to create something that is more than just a revamped design, it’s a tribute to the role Apollo Projects Stadium has played, not just for Canterbury rugby, but for the entire sporting community from 2012 to 2025". A symbol of resilience, hope, and connection, it was the place we could gather again, smile again, and believe again. Over the years, it’s been home to some of Canterbury Rugby’s greatest moments, not just for the players, but for every fan who has filled the stands.

This jersey honours that special era of Canterbury rugby, not only the success we achieved in 2012, but the way the stadium became “our temporary forever.” It’s a way of celebrating everything Apollo Projects has given us, while connecting with our community as we look ahead to the future at One NZ Stadium.
"It's an amazing way for us to pay tribute to the stadium that's given us so much. The crowds have been incredible week on week, and we hope to continue to build on that momentum heading into finals", said Quinn.

Finals footy is just around the corner, we’ve got business to finish — and it starts this Sunday.

Join us in true Canterbury style. Our home, our people, our legacy!
