We are seeking an experienced Head Coach to lead the Canterbury team in the Bunnings Warehouse National Provincial Championship (NPC). This is a key leadership role focused on delivering high performance on and off the field, strengthening Canterbury’s proud rugby legacy, and developing future professional players and coaches.
The role is open to both part-time and full-time candidates, subject to availability and skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the team's capaign plan, including selection policy, training calendar, and performance goals.
- Lead and manage coaching and support staff with clear direction and accountability.
- Coach and prepare the Canterbury NPC team to perform wih excellencem, discipline and professionalism.
- Select the Canterbury NPC squad within the allocated budget.
- Promote positive media engagements and uphold CRU's reputation.
- Build strong relationships with community, club and represenative coaches to identify and develop talent.
- Support the deveoplment of CRU represenative coaches across teams including Canterbury Women, U19, Maori and Pasikika.
Expectations of Candidates:
- Experiecne- 2-4 years of coaching Provincial, Super or International Rugby
- Leadership- Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and deliver high-performance rugby programs.
- Innovation- Ability to be athlete-centred and innocative in coaching approaches.
