Events Executive

Canterbury Rugby is on the edge of something special - and we’re looking for an exceptional Event Executive to help bring it to life.

As we prepare for the inaugural season at One New Zealand Stadium, you’ll have the rare opportunity to help shape the experiences, moments, and atmosphere that will define a new era of rugby in Canterbury. This is your chance to leave a mark on a stadium, a team, and a community from day one.

From packed match days in a brand new venue to meaningful moments at the grassroots level, this role sits at the centre of it all. You’ll deliver events that connect our entire network - from local clubs and communities through to high performance environments and everything in between.

‍What you’ll own:

- Deliver unforgettable events across the full Canterbury Rugby landscape- from grassroots to high performance, and everything in between

- Play a key role in bringing our inaugural One New Zealand Stadium season to life

- Help create NPC and FPC match day experiences that set a new benchmark for fans, partners, and our community

- Lead the planning and execution of events both big and small - from community activations to premium functions

- Work alongside passionate teams, partners, and stakeholders to deliver world-class experiences

Who you are:

- You thrive in high-energy environments

- You’re equal parts planner and playmaker, detail driven but always thinking bigger

- You’re proactive, adaptable, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves

- You know how to build strong relationships and bring people with you

- You have the ability to lead and inspire an events team, setting the standard and bringing others along for the ride

- You’re driven to create moments people remember

- A relevant qualification and/or previous events experience is desirable, but not essential
