Ryan Crotty

Talented midfield back Ryan Crotty impressed during his run-on performances for Canterbury in 2008 and finally got his first start against North Harbour only to sprain an ankle early in the match. Crotty was a member of the successful New Zealand Under-20 team at the Junior World Championship in Wales last year and captained the team against Ireland. He was a member of the Crusaders sides of 2009 and 2010 which made the semi-finals of the Rebel Sport Super 14 and he was selected for the Junior All Blacks last year, continuing his meteoric rise.
