Priority Rugby World Cup booking for season ticket holders

Posted Thursday, 21 January 2010 in News

2010 Crusaders and Canterbury season ticket holders as at February 8 this year will get priority booking opportunities for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Crusaders and Canterbury Chief Executive Hamish Riach said: “The cut-off date of February 8 is not far off so we urge Crusaders and Canterbury fans to take advantage of our new season ticket offer.

“The added bonus of priority booking opportunities for the 2011 Rugby World Cup is also extremely attractive so supporters of Red and Black rugby should get in quick.”

2010 Crusaders and Canterbury season tickets can be bought for as little as $3.69 a week (plus a $5 establishment fee).

“This new price plan is proving very popular, as is the fact that the new Deans Stand at AMI Stadium will be in operation for the first Crusaders game on February 13 against the Highlanders,” Riach added.

AMI Stadium will host 2011 RWC pool games - Argentina v England, Australia v Italy, England v Europe 1, Argentina v Scotland, Australia v Europe 2 and two quarter-finals, one of which should include the All Blacks.

  • Tickets for Rugby World Cup 2011 will go on public sale in April 2010.

  • Season ticket holders will have the benefit of a Priority Booking Period prior to the public release of tickets to apply for a "Venue Pool Pack" consisting of one ticket to each of the pool matches at AMI Stadium.

  • Where season ticket holders apply for a Venue Pool Pack, they will also have the option to apply for a Quarter Final Weekend Pack.

  • To be eligible to apply for a Venue Pool Pack during the Priority Booking Period you must purchase a Canterbury & Crusaders season ticket, and be part of our season ticket database, by February 8, 2010.

  • The expectation is that the Priority Booking Period will be made available to season ticket holders in March 2010.

  • Season ticket holders may apply for one Venue Pool Pack for each season ticket held with the ability to nominate up to three other season ticket holders to sit with.

  • Information on the Official RWC 2011 Ticketing Programme (including public sales) is available, and will be updated from time to time, on http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/
