  • Rugby Coaches Wanted for 2024 Season

    St Andrew’s College, Christchurch

    Commencing March 2024

    St Andrew’s College has a strong history of success in many sporting codes. We seek qualified, experienced and enthusiastic coaches to continue developing students to all levels in our expanding sports programme.

    Remuneration is provided and a coach development programme will be provided.

    Commitment involves 2 training per week and a game on Saturdays.

  • St Bede's Rugby wants to continue to provide the opportunity for rugby players of all skills and ability to play rugby and be a part of a team in 2024. We can't do that without the support of staff, parents, caregivers and the wider community.

    We are inviting individuals from the school or wider community to submit expressions of interest in a coaching position with us for the 2024 season and beyond. We are seeking coaches across the following grades: Senior Boys (U18), U75kg, U15, U14 and U55kg teams for the 2024 rugby season.

  • High School Old Boy’s Rugby Football Club is looking to fill a critical position for the Club. A hybrid position, the Rugby Development Officer/Club Manager role will drive our Club into a new era as our new changing rooms and Clubroom upgrade are completed.

    Effectively two 20 hour per week roles, the Rugby Development Officer/Club Manager may fit the right person or people to create a key team running rugby and the club.

    The RDO will be focused on the development of rugby within the club, managing the coaches and responsible for player recruitment and retention across our Men’s, Women’s, Junior and Tri Rugby competitions. This role would suit a current or ex-player with a passion of building rugby relationships and making a difference in rugby performance across the Club.

    The Club Manager role is a critical administrative role responsible for key operational relationships and performance with CRFU, Sponsors, funding authorities, stakeholders and the Club Committee. This role may suit a strong part time administrator with a flair for marketing and finance.

    Together, the role would be a full-time opportunity for someone committed to sports performance, management and administration.

  • Vacancy - Assistant Rugby Coach

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Rugby Coach to join our coaching staff. This position primarily involves assisting in the coaching and development of high school rugby players. The ideal candidate should be available for training sessions on Mondays and Thursdays (3 - 4.15pm), as well as games on Wednesdays during the season.

    Please note that this is not a paid position.

    Responsibilities:

    • Help with the planning and executing an effective training sessions that focus on skill development and engagement in rugby.

    • Give feedback, with an emphasis on supporting the growth of our female athletes.

    • Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure consistency in coaching philosophies across the program.

    • Help to create a positive and inclusive team environment that fosters camaraderie, sports-manship, and personal growth.

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience coaching high school or teenage grade rugby, preferably with a focus on coaching female athletes is desirable.

    • Strong knowledge of the rules and strategies of rugby, as well as effective coaching techniques for skill development.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and engage with players of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

    • Availability for training sessions on Mondays and Thursdays (3-4.15pm), as well as games on Wednesdays during the rugby season.
